Financial Year 2006 Kick-Off Bowling event. I did much better than last time, and I even thought I had achieved a personal best with the 129 points in the first game, but I have scored 129 once before. Still a solid performance. Unfortunately, we did not get the detailed score card.

To kick off the second half of Financial Year 2005, DreamArts held a staff bowling tournament today. Apparently, there was a big bowling boom in Japan in the sixties and seventies, so that a lot of people who were in their teens then are still really good at it now.
Not that I had anything to do with that end of the competition, my rather miserable results placed me firmly in the bottom quartile.

My farewell party at Gaiax (the third by now, I keep coming back, but I am trying to break the habit this time) on Friday had two highlights, the first one being a fried tuna head (which I did not touch and also avoided eye contact with, said eye being enormous, at least until someone finally ate it), the second one bowling until the last train (which turned out to be just one game unfortunately).

We went bowling again with Jing and Ted yesterday and I arrived at a positively acceptable score of 95, but we somehow managed to lose the score sheet on the way back home, so there is no detailed breakdown of the frames this time.
It is very difficult to organise an after-work bowling with co-workers as everyone is so busy. So when it finally happens, and I hurry everyone to leave office early at 8:30 pm on a Friday (sometimes I hate Japanese working hours), then coming up with my worst score in recorded history is less than stellar.

It was raining today at the company camp in Atami, so we had to replace the outdoor sports with bowling. I pushed my previous record of 128 to 129 pins.

I could not improve my previous score of 128.

Bowling (unrelated to Columbine)
I went bowling yesterday. I do not do this very often, so I have no idea if my score (128) was good or not, but it was enough to finish first out of nine people.
