Drop.io has just announced that they have been acquired by Facebook, and the service is being discontinued. No new drops can be created anymore, and existing drops do not accept updates. Users will be able to download their files until December, 15th, after that all data will be deleted (nothing will be turned over to Facebook).

I have been using drop.io in several places, most importantly to share Kai pictures. I will try to make everything available there as a zip file for download (there is supposed to be such a feature, which I hope still works since it is especially important in situations like this), and will let you know where you can find this content in the future (suggestions welcome).
